Day 14 - Your Earliest Memory
I really don't know what my earliest memory is. I have blips of memories of movies...like Ferris Bueller's Day Off (came out when I was two) - I remembered the red car plummeting out the window, or whatever happened; as well as multiple memories of our house in Houston - we moved away from there when I was three...there was a weeping willow in the front yard, and I pushed around my bubble-lawn-mower; I had a gigantic rabbit named Thumper; and I remember finding my mom in a bedroom, sitting on the floor crying next to a bedside table with a rotary phone. She had just gotten the news that someone in her family had passed away, and I remember telling her it'd be okay. No idea how much of that last one is real. Guess I should ask her.
Day 15 - The Reason Behind the Name of your Tumblr/Blogspot
"Much Ado..." comes from my favorite Shakespearean play, Much Ado About Nothing. I feel like that's really what life is...a bunch of emphasis on something that, in the scheme of things, is a blip on a cosmic timeline. Not to say that life is inconsequential, of course, but merely that it's short. Also, it's a hilarious and wonderful play, and I like all the associations that come with it in my mind.
My tumblr is called "imakegood." This, I thought, was a clever name for an art blog, since I'll be making/creating things. Also, it's a slight twist on a line from one of my favorite musicals, Wicked. It's from the song "The Wizard and I," and the lyrics basically illustrate an opportunity that the protagonist of the play has been given, if she "makes good," and uses what she has to do what she should. When I used it as my blog title, I kind of meant for it to mean that I'm trying to use what I've been given to do with it what I should do...and make good :)
Day 16 - Your Views on Mainstream Music
What? As opposed to what? Um, I guess, in the vaguest sense of this question, I find a lot of mainstream music to be startlingly unimaginative. That being said, I also tend to get sucked into the vortex of bad music like everyone else seems to, so I can't be too critical.
Day 17 - Your Highs and Lows of this Last Year
That's vague. Highs and lows of 2010...I can't even remember where last year began...they all blur together. Isn't that sort of sad? I guess that's why we keep blogs and journals; to keep track of all that stuff. I'll peruse my blog and see what I can dig up ;)
Day 18 - Your Beliefs
I am a Non-denominational Evangelical Christian
Day 19 - Disrespecting Your Parents
Yeah, I've done that before. Not something I recommend. It's funny, even though most times I disrespected my parents were years and years...even decades ago, I still remember a few of them like they were yesterday...and can feel the guilt and shame from the way I behaved. I've apologized, of course (numerous times), but it never ceases to amaze me how something like that can stick with you. I have great parents. I'm lucky beyond belief. I only hope to be able to show them how awesome they are by the way I respect them from now on.
Day 20 - How Important You Think Education Is
Education is SUPER important! You've got to be edjumacated! It makes me sad that people/teenagers (not all, of course, I realize this is a generalization) don't seem to be interested in learning. School is perceived to be a burden...a hindrance in their social schedules...an obligatory thing. I wish people still wanted to learn...or I wish schools could figure out a way to make it appealing once again. I think technology has made us all lazy. We're used to someone online, or an expert in the field, or whatever doing research for us, interpreting it, and regurgitating it back to us for processing. We've forgotten how to learn and interpret for ourselves, sometimes, and that scares me quite a bit.

Questions like that last one always crack me up because it's not like there's going to be lots of different answers to it.
There really are only two answers..."I think education is the best thing ever," or, "I think education is the worst!" Haha
