Teaser

Alright - well unfortunately, after I completed all of my absolutely have to dos, I had no time to begin my art projects last night.

However...armed with my to do list today, I intend to start a few projects, while doing chores in between.

The first thing I'm going to attempt to work on (hopefully the first of many today...I'm just trying not to over commit) is this awesome table thing (forgive the cardboard - just trying to protect the patio!).



No idea what its real purpose is. I spied it at a thrift store our church was serving at...couldn't get it out of my head, and had to go back and get it! I think it was $40...not too bad. I just loved the look of it. I loved that it was low and long, and I loved the detail on the sides. I've been following All Things Thrifty for too long now, and all I see when I look at furniture is potential projects.

So, when I saw the table, I immediately thought of our gameroom. We use a projector to watch TV and movies upstairs, so there's no real need for an entertainment center or anything. However, we needed something with compartments for DVDs (check), and a space in the middle for all the random electronic stuff (check).

Here's my idea. I'm going bold. Going where I've never even thought I'd go before...though, now that I'm considering it, I wonder why I haven't before...
I'm taking a page out of this project, and using color!

You'll have to wait for more information/pics to follow. If I don't stop talking now, it won't be much of a teaser! :D
