Higitus Figitus

It appears I have fallen prey to a summer cold. Oxymoron? Of sorts...but not quite. Inconvenient? Most definitely. It does make me feel slightly better about not being as productive as I had hoped recently, since I was coming down with something...but only slightly.

Tomorrow, my hubby will be preaching at a different church. That will be kind of scary, but also exciting. Afterward, I'm hoping to make a stop at Lowe's and pick up a new toilet flusher majig, that enamel paint I mentioned previously, and some plastic storage tubs to start packing our stuff up! It's times like these that I always fervently wish for the powers of Merlin in Sword in the Stone. Oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to wiggle a stick at all my belongings; and coax them into a smaller, more convenient size with a song. That would be divine.

As it is, I have to sift through sooo many things that I would much rather ignore, get rid of the things I don't want/need anymore, then reorganize and pack the remaining things. Quite a daunting task...and unfortunately, rather time consuming.

Oh well. I'm just hoping for the best. I'm hoping to get a really good night's sleep tonight, to wake up feeling considerably better tomorrow, to be infused with energy and determination, and to be redonkulously productive. Forever. Is that too much to ask? ;)

Hopefully not. I heard from our roofer today - they'll be dropping off the supplies on Monday, and will replace our roof on Tuesday! So, that's two days of being home right there. Here's hoping that I get A LOT done in those two days. I'm hoping the landscaper and the window guy can come out on Wednesday or after. Then, all the major exterior things would be done, and we could check that off our list.

I think I'm going to look into storage units tomorrow, so I can hopefully start moving some boxes over there once I get them packed. Definitely need to "declutter." I hope to make many many trips to Goodwill over the next week (and only go to the donation drop off point - not go in the store - that would most definitely be counter productive). The countdown is on...and I'll have to face my arch nemesis soon...THE GARAGE. :dramatic music plays:

Wish me luck!

And score another one for my summer cold. I'm essentially incapacitated today. I'm just grateful I got to see my Love preach this morning. He did great, and the church family there were very welcoming and encouraging. Hooray for resting and relaxing! Sundays are NEVER that way for us, so I'll take it while I can :)

I hear he didn't take my advice that this church was a nudist church. I'm so disappointed, I worked very hard on research for him, at least 30 seconds after Mom said Sean had called for research.
