Here's Hoping...

I had every intention of staying home today, and scouring the house from top to bottom, just so that it was perfect and sparkling (it's amazing how often you have to clean a clean house to keep it in pristine condition). However, My Love had other plans for me. He wanted to whisk me away...

...to help him at work. :sigh: So, I did help him at work. And, while we were at the church office, I got a phone call...

...from a realtor...wanting to show the house TOMORROW!!! :insert cartwheels here:

So, we packed up our stuff, got into the car, and drove to my MIL's house to borrow her van. The plan was to drive it home, and empty all the stuff from the garage into storage, and then spend the rest of the night cleaning, getting ready for the first showing tomorrow! But on my way to our house, I got another call...

...from another realtor...wanting to show the house TONIGHT!!! :insert panic:

We hauled booty to get home, and then ran around like crazy people trying to get the house together, move stuff around, and throw the three dogs into the car and get outta dodge! We made it, minus a little finesse, minus all of our patience and poise, and with a van full of crazy...only to get yet another call that they were running late.
(which really, in the scheme of things, is better than us being late)

However, we went to Jack in the Box & got some tacos (which make everything better), then parked in the Best Buy parking lot while we waited out our showing.

Which, by the way, I just have to take a moment and marvel at the fact that we had two requests for showings in one day...only FOUR days after the house listing/pictures went online! I'm so excited!

No word yet from our realtor on whether they liked it or if they're interested, but I'm a little impatient right now ;)

So, here we sit...completely drained of motivation and energy, watching How I Met Your Mother, meanwhile I'm wondering what things I'm going to do in the morning before our next showing, and hoping fervently that the people who came tonight are in love with our house...the people who see it tomorrow will be in love with it...and they will start a bidding war that will land us with upwards of $30,000 more than our asking price. :sigh:

Can you tell I'm delusional right now? ;)

But it never hurts to dream...
