I realize that I haven't posted the last two weeks' worth of thankfulness yet. I will. Hopefully tonight, and definitely by tomorrow - I can't be three weeks behind in thankfulness. That's just silly. Of course, the fact that I haven't posted it doesn't mean I'm not thankful for those things anyway :)
I have had a very full schedule as of late; which you know if you've been reading. I quit my job, trained my replacement, and then dove immediately into LOTS AND LOTS of volunteer work with the church. I've been helping Sean with random things, I drove a team for backyard Bible clubs, coordinated a festival to wrap up backyard Bible club week, and we're about to go on a mission trip. You know, now that I see it in such a condensed list, it doesn't look like a lot...but believe me, it was/is :P
And, as per usual, life doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. After we get home from the mission trip, I'm going to be getting the house ready to be put on the market. Lots and lots of work to be done. We did, however, meet with a realtor, and he appears to be quite optimistic that we'll be able to spruce up a few thises and thats, and sell within a reasonable amount of time. I'm looking forward to the house being clean and organized, and will enjoy having to keep it that way for potential buyers. Now, if I can do that through this process, and try to transfer that activity into my next house, that would be ideal ;)
This past weekend, I helped paint the nursery for Sarah and Peter's baby girl (I alluded to this in this post)- she'll be here soon, and her room isn't ready yet! But we made some great progress this weekend, and it looks amazing! I can't wait for us to finish it and get some pictures taken! I'm priming some picture frames I found at Goodwill right now, and then I'll be selecting various pieces of scrapbook paper to mount inside those that match the bedding/color scheme. I also hope to start another artsy project related to the room in the near future. Sarah had some old Winnie the Pooh books that had been kind of destroyed, and I'm going to use them as inspiration for some artwork for the walls in the room. I'm hoping to recreate them, color them with pastels, and then frame them and put them in the room. That way, it won't be character overkill, but it'll still tie in to the theme tastefully. I'm really excited for the next few things we have planned, because they're more on the detail side, and they will really pull the room together. I can't even wait!
So, I'm going to get back to putting another coat of paint on the picture frames now...and cleaning the glass. I'll post pictures when I have some. :)
